The impact of railway transport on the environment.

At first glance, it may seem that the railway does not have any negative impact on the environment. After all, trains run on electricity.

However, it’s not that simple.

The first difficulties begin when the railway is laid. After all, this is not an easy occupation, and one labor force is not enough here. Large groups of people with exhaust cars are working on this. The composition of soft, swampy and other soils to hold the rail also changes.

Further, the problems only increase. After all, not all trains run on electricity. These trains include diesel and steam. An order of magnitude more diesel is needed for the train to operate, and accordingly, there will be more emissions. The situation is similar with steam locomotives.
