The influence of geographic location on the country’s climate.

The geographic location of a country directly affects the climate within that very country.

The main factors affecting the country’s climate:

1. Distance from the equator. The closer a country is to the equator, the warmer its climate will be. Conversely, the farther a country is from the equator, the colder it will be.

2. Location relative to the seas and oceans. The closer a country is to the sea or ocean, the milder the climate will be. Winter will not be so frosty, but summer will not be so hot either.

3. What objects are located near the terrain. For example, there will be less precipitation near the mountains because the mountains trap the air currents.

4. The amount of incoming solar radiation.
