Minos is the legendary ruler of Ancient Crete. The mythical King managed to introduce legislation in Crete and assert his power in the Mediterranean Sea. Minos built the magnificent city of Knossos and made it the capital of his state. From ancient myths, the legend about the underground labyrinth of Daedalus in which the Minotaur was imprisoned has survived to this day.
