The largest cities in medieval Europe.

There were not so many large cities – in the modern sense of the term – in Europe. The main ones, with the largest population, include Paris, Cologne, Venice, Florence, Milan. This is if we take the statistics of the XIV-XV centuries. So, in Paris there were about 250,000-280,000 people, in Cologne 250,000, in Venice – 200,000 people, in Florence, Milan – 100 thousand each. And in ordinary cities, in general, quite rarely there were more than 20,000 people.
