Let’s denote a trapezoid KLMN, LM, KN – bases KL = MN = 14 cm – sides.
To solve the problem, we use the property of a circle inscribed in a trapezoid or in any arbitrary quadrilateral.
LM + KN = KL + MN.
The sum of the sides is 28 cm, and the sum of the bases is the same.
We find the perimeter of this trapezoid is
P KLMN = 28 + 28 = 56 (cm).
Answer: the perimeter is 56 cm.
