In a right-angled triangle ABC with a hypotenuse AB, the legs are known:
AC = 8 cm;
BC = 6 cm.
You need to find the hypotenuse.
By the Pythagorean theorem we have:
AB² = AC² + BC²;
AB² = 8² + 6² = 64 + 36 = 100, hence:
AB = √100 = 10 (cm).
