The length of one side of the quadrilateral is 3/11 of its perimeter, the length of the other is 4/11 of the perimeter, and the sum of the lengths of these sides is 28 cm. Find the perimeter of the quadrilateral.

We form an equation in which we write the perimeter of the quadrangle as an unknown number x.

In this case, the length of the first side will be:

3/11 * x.

The length of the second side will be: 4/11 * x.

We get the equation for the sum of the sides.

3/11 * x + 4/11 * x = 28.

7/11 * x = 28.

x = 28/7/11 = 28 * 11/7 = 4 * 11 = 44 cm.
