| The length of one side of the triangle is 30% of the perimeter, the length of the other side is 0.45% of the perimeter, the length of the third side is 13.5 cm. Find the perimeter.
Let us take the length of the triangle perimeter as x, then:
30 * x / 100 = 0.3x – the length of the 1st side;
0.45 * x – 2nd length.
Since the perimeter is equal to the sum of the three sides, we get the equation:
0.3x + 0.45x + 13.5 = x
x – 0.75x = 13.5
0.25x = 13.5
x = 13.5: 0.25 = 54.
Answer: the perimeter is 54 cm.
