The length of one side of the triangle is 8 cm, the length of the other side is 2 times less than the length of the first, and the length of the third side is 6 cm, less than the value of the sum of the lengths of the first two sides, find the perimeter of the triangle.

Find the length of the second side of this triangle.
According to the condition of the problem, the length of the first side of this triangle is 8 cm, and the length of the second side is 2 times less than the length of the first, therefore, the length of the second side of this triangle is:
8/2 = 4 cm.
Find the length of the third side of this triangle.
