The length of the rectangle ABCD is 5 cm, the width is 3 cm. Find the side length of the square KMNR if its perimeter is equal to the perimeter of the rectangle ABCD.

First of all, we calculate the perimeter of a rectangle ABCD with sides of 5 cm and 3 cm, which is equal to twice the sum of its two sides:

P = 2 (5 + 3) = 2 * 8 = 16 (cm).
