| From the condition of the problem, we know that the length of the classroom, let us denote it by a, is equal to a = 8 meters, and its area S = 16 sq. M. We know that to find the area of a rectangle there is a formula:
S = a * b
From this formula, we can find the width b of a given room:
b = S / a = 16/8 = 2 meters.
By knowing the length and width of the classroom, we can find its perimeter. There is also a formula to find the perimeter of a rectangle:
P = 2 * (a * b) = {substitute our length and width into it and get} = 2 * (8 + 2) = 2 * 10 = 20 meters
Answer: P = 20 meters
