The lifestyle of wealthy citizens and commoners in ancient Rome.

The way of life of rich and poor people has always been different, and Ancient Rome was not an exclusive state. The estate of wealthy citizens possessed their own houses, often owned several slaves, and could secure a seat in the Senate if they so desired. In addition, some of them were consuls. The poor population of Ancient Rome (plebeians) did not have all this, therefore they were forced to cling to any opportunity to earn money in order to provide for themselves and their family.
