The main differences between the evolutionary theories of Darwin and Lamarck.

Darwin’s and Lamarck’s theory of evolution are different. Lamarck believed that the main reason for the evolutionary process is the desire of the organism to improve. Also, the unit of evolution according to Lamarck is the species. Darwin’s opinion was very different. He identified three driving forces – hereditary variability, natural selection and the struggle for survival. The unit of the evolutionary process is the population. Darwin was right. The modern synthetic theory of evolution combines the teachings of Darwin, as well as the methods of studying genetics. So it was possible to fill in almost all the gaps in evolution.
