The main events of the three stages of the peasant war.

The peasant war, led by Pugachev, is divided into 4 stages:

1773-1774: an army is formed and a rebellion begins in the Yaik lands. After the rebels went towards Orenburg. Pugachev decides to flee after being defeated.

April 1774 – July 1774: the rebels capture Kazan, several fortresses in the Urals. The government army is trying to defeat them, Pugachev escapes at this time.

July 1774 – September 1774: the inhabitants of the Volga region surrender to the Cossacks. Pugachev did not reach Moscow, but went south to take the army from the Don. The government’s army defeats Pugachev, but he managed to escape once again. Pugachev’s army was defeated.

Until January 1775: Pugachev was handed over to the government, after which he was publicly executed. During this period, the last unrest in society also subsided.
