The main geographic types of agriculture.
Non-commodity agriculture can be considered the most primitive type of agriculture; it includes hunting, gathering, and fishing. In the modern world, it is typical, for example, for pygmies and backward regions of Africa. Cattle breeding in Africa (Tuaregs) and in the north of Eurasia (reindeer breeding in YAMAO) can be attributed to the same type.
Commodity or semi-commodity peasant agricultural economy. It is fashionable to observe it in Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar and India. These include tea, rice and coffee plantations.
Commercial agriculture with specialization. For example, animal husbandry in the pastures of Argentina and Uruguay, as well as meat and dairy farming in Finland or Belarus.
This includes agriculture in southern Canada and Germany.
