The main governing bodies of Sparta

The state structure of Sparta consisted of structures:

Two kings. The fires were military leaders and performed priestly functions.
Gerousia. 28 people aged 60 and over were selected for life. Laws were passed here.
National Assembly. It included the entire male population over the age of 30. It did not have great powers, since it could only reject or approve the laws put forward by Gerousia.
Navarh. Highest position in Sparta. He had broad powers, including the military.
