The main occupations of the peoples of Ethiopia.

Ethiopia is a backward country not only by the standards of the planet, but also by the standards of Africa. The population there is about 100 million, it is growing rapidly and is mainly employed in the agricultural sector (about 80% of the population). The main industries are agriculture and animal husbandry. Ethiopians grow cereals such as teff. The main agricultural crop is coffee, sugar cane and cotton are also grown.

Livestock breeding is represented by the breeding of sheep, cattle and camels (the climate is dry, so their livestock is one of the largest in the world).
