The resettlement of the Slavs was the third and final wave of the worldwide migration of peoples. It began in the 5th century. From Asia and Siberia, the Slavic peoples went to Eastern Europe, on the territory of Byzantium. The main reasons can be divided into:

external (influence of neighboring countries and peoples, military raids of nomads),
internal (disintegration of the tribal system, the establishment of military democracy).
