The main results of the historical development of Russia in the 14-17 centuries.

The development of the statehood of the northeastern lands of Russia led to the fact that at the end of the 17th century, when Peter the Great came to power, these territories turned into a huge state from the Pacific Ocean to the Baltic Sea. In the 14th century, the Moscow principality began its path to independence from the Horde. Gradually, with the weakening of the Horde rule, the Moscow rulers seized territories that were part of the once huge empire of the Golden Horde. By the end of the 17th century, the entire territory of the Horde and the peoples subordinate to it was under the rule of the Moscow Tsar.
