The middle lines of a triangle connect the midpoints of the sides of the triangle, they are equal to half the length of the sides to which they are parallel:
AB = HM · 2;
AB = 5 2 = 10 cm;
BC = KM · 2;
BC = 7 2 = 14 cm;
AC = KH · 2;
AC = 12 2 = 24 cm.
The perimeter of a triangle is the sum of the lengths of all its sides:
P = AB + BC + AC;
P = 10 + 14 + 24 = 48 cm.
