Let’s consider everything using the example of an earthworm, since it belongs to annelids and can be found almost everywhere on our planet, with the exception of the poles, where the temperature is low and there is no soil. In an earthworm, the digestive system runs along the entire body. It has a mouth, the starting point for food intake. It is located in front of the worm, where the belt is located. Food enters the digestive tract, where it is influenced by digestive enzymes. This process is quite fast and the processed residues are excreted from the worm’s body.
