The name of an organelle whose function is to synthesize energy.

Eukaryotic cells have special organelles that are responsible for the synthesis of energy. These are mitochondria. They are responsible for the third stage of energy metabolism, during which energy is released. It is stored in the form of ATP. Mitochondria oxidize various organic molecules. First of all, carbohydrates are oxidized. If they are not there, then fats are oxidized. If there are no fats in the cell, then the oxidation of proteins begins, since without energy the cell will not be able to function and will simply die when the stored ATP runs out.
