Only higher plants have different organs. You can select the root, shoot and flowers (applies only to angiosperms). The root is needed to absorb water and minerals from the soil. Also, it fixes the plant in the soil. The root, thanks to bacteria, can assimilate nitrogen. The shoot is a complex organ that consists of a stem, leaves, and buds. Leaves perform the function of photosynthesis. So plants have autotrophic nutrition. Flowers are a reproductive organ. The flowers form seeds with certain fruits.
