The nervous system of molluscs

The nervous system of mollusks is of a scattered-nodal type. Gastropods have five pairs of ganglia that are connected by nerve trunks.
The cerebral ganglia receive signals from the senses, the pedal ganglia use the leg, and the visceral ganglia use the internal organs.
In cephalopods, the cerebral ganglion forms the so-called “brain”, from which nerves extend.
