The organ that keeps the eyeball moving?

Most animals that have eyes are capable of eye movements. This contributes to a quick response to various changes in the environment. Eye movement is supported by the presence of special muscles. They, like any other muscle, contract under the influence of nerve impulses. Sometimes movements can be involuntary. Some animals do not have these muscles. For example – owls. They are unable to move their eyes, but they can turn their heads almost 180 degrees to look for prey.
