| 1. The tops of the parallelogram – A, B, C, D. Area (S) = 48 cm². Height BH = 2 cm (drawn to the AD side). Height BK = 6 cm (drawn to the side of CD).
2. Calculate the length of the side AD, using the formula for the area of a parallelogram:
S = AD x BH = 48 cm².
AD = 48: BH = 48: 2 = 24 cm.
3. Calculate the length of the CD side, also using this formula:
S = CD x BK = 48 cm².
CD = 48: BK = 48: 6 = 8 cm.
4.CD = AB = 8 cm. BC = AD = 24 cm.
Answer: the sides of the parallelogram are CD = AB = 8 cm. BC = AD = 24 cm.
