The parallelogram heights are 3 and 4 cm, and the area is 48 cm². Find the perimeter of the parallelogram.

The area of a parallelogram is equal to the product of the length of its side by the height drawn to this side:

S = a * ha = b * hb.

Knowing the area and both heights, we can find the sides:

a = S / ha = 48/3 = 16 cm;

b = S / hb = 48/4 = 12 cm.

The perimeter of a parallelogram is equal to the sum of the lengths of all its sides:

P = 2 * (a + b) = 2 * (16 + 12) = 2 * 28 = 56 cm.
