Let’s find the area of the site, provided that its perimeter is 56 m.
First of all, we express the length of the square (this is the shape of the site) from the formula:
P = 4a, therefore: a = P: 4 = 56: 4 = 14 m.
A square has all sides equal and its area is calculated by the formula:
S = a² = 14 * 14 = 196 m².
