The perimeter of a triangle is 28cm. Find out the length of the larger side of this triangle, knowing that the length of the two smaller sides is 9cm and 7cm.

1. Determine the length of the 2 sides of the triangle, which are given in the problem statement:
9 + 7 = 16 cm.
2. Subtract the obtained length of 2 sides from the value of the perimeter, and find the length of the third side of the triangle:
28 – 16 = 12 cm.
Answer: the largest of the sides of this figure is 12 cm.
