The perimeter of an isosceles triangle is 19, and one of its sides is greater than the other by 10. Find the sides of the triangle.

1. Vertices of the triangle – A, B, C. AC is more than AB by 10 units. P is the perimeter.

2. AC = AB + 10 units

3. P = BC + AB + AC = 19 units. BC = AB.

4. Substitute in this expression (AB + 10) and AB instead of AC and BC, respectively:

AB + AB + AB + 10 = 19 units.

3AB = 9 units.

AB = 3 units.

AC = 10 + 3 = 13 units

Answer: AC = 13 centimeters. BC = AB = 3 units.
