1. A, B, C – the vertices of the triangle.

2. By the condition of the problem, the base is 16 cm less than the lateral side. AC = BC – 16 cm.

3. Further calculations are performed using the formula for calculating the perimeter:

BC + AB + AC = 50 cm.

BC = AB, since the triangle is isosceles.

4. Substitute in the original expression BC instead of AB and (BC – 16) instead of AC:

ВС – 16 + 2ВС = 50 cm.

3BC = 66 cm.

BC = 66: 3 = 22 cm.

AC = 22 – 16 = 6 cm.

Answer: BC = AB = 22 cm, AC = 6 cm.
