The perimeter of a triangle is equal to the sum of all its sides. Since the given triangle

isosceles a = b, P = 2 a + c, where a is the sides of the triangle, c is its base.

By condition, c = 2 a, therefore P = 2 a + 2 a = 4 a;

a = P: 4 = 55: 4 = 13.75 (cm);

b = a = 13.75 cm;

s = 2 * 13.75 = 27.5 cm.
