The perimeter of parallelogram ABCD is 32 cm and its diagonal BD is 9 cm. Find the perimeter of triangle ABD.

We know that the perimeter is equal to the sum of all sides, i.e. = length + length + width + width
then width + length = perimeter: 2
then length + width = 32: 2 = 16
perimeter of a triangle = length of parallelogram + width + diagonal
then = 16 + 9 = 25 cm
