X = 3 * Y.

2 * (X + Y) = 256.

Let’s solve the system of equations.

2 * (3 * Y + Y) = 256.

8 * Y = 256.

Y = 256/8 = 32 cm.

X = 3 * 32 = 96 cm.

Answer: The sides are equal to 32 and 96 m.
