60 * 0.3 = 18 cm – side of the parallelogram.

The perimeter of a parallelogram is the double product of the sum of its sides:

P = 2 * (a + b);

b = (P – 2 * a) / 2;

b = (60 – 36) / 2;

b = 12 cm.

The height drawn to the first side is equal to its half:

h = a / 2 = 9 cm.

The area of the parallelogram is the product of the side and the height to it:

S = a * h = 18 * 9 = 162 cm².
