The perimeter of the quadrangle is 4 m. One side is 96 cm, the other is 18 cm larger than the first, and the third side is 2 times smaller than the second. Find the fourth side of the quadrangle.

1) Find out the length of the second side of the quadrilateral if we know that it is 18 cm longer than the first, and the length of the first side is 96 cm.

96 + 18 = 114 cm.

2) Find out what is the length of the third side, if we know that it is 2 times less than the second side.

114/2 = 57 cm.

3) Find out the total length of all three known sides.

114 + 96 + 57 = 267 cm.

4) Find out how long the fourth side of the quadrangle is, if we know that its perimeter is 4 m, and the sum of the lengths of the three sides is 267 cm.

4 m = 400 cm.

400 – 267 = 133 cm.

Answer: the length of the fourth side is 133 cm.
