The perimeter is the sum of the lengths of all sides of the figure, i.e. sum AB + BC + CD + AD.

In this case, P ABCD is 17 cm. AB is 5 cm, BC is 6 cm, sides CD and AD are equal.

1.5cm + 6cm = 11cm,

2.17cm – 11cm = 6cm,

3.6cm: 2 = 3cm.

Let’s check: 5cm + 6cm + 3cm + 3cm = 17cm,

Answer: 3 cm.
