The perimeter is the sum of all sides. Opposite sides are equal (by the property of a rectangle). Let the width be x, then the length is 4x (since it is 4 times more). We get the equation
x + x + 4x + 4x = 100
10x = 100
x = 10
The width is 10m, therefore the length is 40m
To find the area, you need to multiply the length by the width
S = 10m * 40m = 400m squared
