| Let’s determine how long this rectangle has. if we know that the sum of all its sides is 152 cm, and the width is 16 cm.We make an equation, where:
X is the length;
16 – width;
152 is the sum of the lengths of all sides.
We get:
(X + 16) * 2 = 152;
2X + 32 = 152;
2X = 152 – 32;
2X = 120;
X = 120/2;
X = 60 cm.
2) Determine what area the rectangle known to us occupies if we know that its width is 16 cm, and we found out the length and it was 60 cm.
60 * 16 = 960 cm².
Answer: a rectangle occupies 960 cm² of area.
