When calculating the perimeter of a rectangle, the two widths are added to the two lengths. Let’s make the equation:
2a + 2c = 58
According to the condition a = 8, then
2 × 8 + 2s = 58
16 + 2s = 58
2s = 58-16
2s = 42
s = 42 ÷ 2
c = 21
Answer – the length of the rectangle is 21
