Since, the perimeter of the rectangle is 2 (a + b).
We get that 2a + 2 * 8 = 58 (since the width is known, we substitute it into the formula, in place of the variable c)
2a + 16 = 58
2a = 58-16
2a = 42
a = 42: 2
a = 21
Answer: length = 21 cm
