2) Let’s find out what the total amount would be all sides of the rectangle if they were equal.
76 – 8 = 68 cm.
3) We find out the width of the rectangle if we found out that with their equal length, the total sum of the lengths would be 68 cm.
68/4 = 17 cm.
4) Determine the length of the rectangle if we know that it is 4 cm longer than its width.
17 + 4 = 21 cm.
5) Find the area.
21 * 17 = 357 cm².
Answer: the area of the rectangle we know was 357 cm².
