All four sides of the square are equal in size and are found by the formula a = P: 4:
a = P: 4 = 32: 4 = 8 decimeters.
We calculate the area of the quadrangle by the formula S = a * a:
S = a * a = 8 * 8 = 64 dm2.
Answer: the area of the square is 64 dm2.
