The perimeter of the triangle ABC is 44cm. The AB side is half the size of the BC side and 4cm smaller than the AC side. Find the lengths of all sides of the triangle.

Let us denote by variable x the length of the side AB of this triangle.

Therefore, according to the conditions of the problem, we can express the length of the BC side in terms of 2x, and the length of the AC side we can express in terms of (х + 4).

Knowing by the condition of the problem that the perimeter of the specified triangle is 44 centimeters, we compose an equation and determine the lengths of its sides:

x + 2x + x + 4 = 44;

4x = 40;

x = 10;

2 * 10 = 20;

10 + 4 = 14.

Answer: The length of the AB side is 10 centimeters, the length of the BC is 20 centimeters, the length of the AC is 14 centimeters.
