The perimeter of the triangle ABC is 81 cm. The length of the side AB is equal to 26 cm

The perimeter of the triangle ABC is 81 cm. The length of the side AB is equal to 26 cm of the side BC -18 cm. Find the length of the side.

If the perimeter of the triangle is P = AB + BC + CA, P = 81 = 26 centimeters + 18 centimeters + X centimeters

Then, for the solution of our problem, let AC = x,

then 81 centimeters = 26 centimeters + 18 centimeters + x centimeters

x = 81 centimeters – 26 centimeters – 18 centimeters = 37 centimeters.

In order to find the side AC, we had to subtract the side AB and the side BC from the known number of the perimeter.

Only in this case we were able to find out the size of the AC side of the triangle.

Answer: The AC side of the triangle = 37 centimeters.
