| The perimeter of the triangle is 52 cm. One of the sides is 4 cm smaller than the other and 3 cm more than the third. Determine the length of each side.
Let the length of the side AB, triangle ABC be equal to X cm.
AB = X cm.
Then, by condition, the length of the BC side = (X + 4) cm, the length of the AC side = (X – 3) cm.
The perimeter of the triangle ABC is:
Ravs = AB + BC + AC = X + (X + 4) + (X – 3) = 52 cm.
3 * X + 1 = 52.
3 * X = 51 cm.
X = AB = 51/3 = 17 cm.
BC = 17 + 4 = 21 cm.
AC = 17 – 3 = 14 cm.
Answer: The sides of the triangle are 14 cm, 17 cm, 21 cm.
