The perimeter of triangle ABC is 24 cm. The length of side AB is 35%, and the length of side BC

The perimeter of triangle ABC is 24 cm. The length of side AB is 35%, and the length of side BC is 25% of the perimeter of the triangle. Find the length of the AC side.

Given:
P = 24 cm,
AB-35% of P,
BC-25% of R.
Find:
AC-?
Solution:
P = AB + BC + AC.
1) 24/100 * 35 = 8.4 (cm length of side AB);
2) 24/100 * 25 = 6 (cm the length of the BC side);
3) 8.4 + 6 = 14.4 (cm two sides together).
4) 24-14.4 = 9.6 (cm AC side length).
Answer: AC = 9.6 cm.
The perimeter (P) of a triangle is equal to the sum of the lengths of its three sides.
