The perimeter of the triangle is found by the formula P = a + b + c.
In our case
P = BC + AC + AB.
Subtract the length of the BC side (17 cm) from the perimeter of the triangle (62 cm) and find out the sum of the lengths of the AC + AB sides.
62 – 17 = 45 (cm) – AC + AB
Since AC = AB
45: 2 = 22.5 (cm)
Answer: 22.5 cm length of side AB.
