1. Let us subtract the length of the BC from the perimeter of the triangle ABC, we obtain the sum of the lengths of the sides AB and CA:
62 – 17 = 45 cm.
2. Since the sum of AB and CA is 45 cm, and AB = CA, then dividing their sum in half, we get the length of each of these sides:
45/2 = 22.5 cm.
