| The plant produced 900,000 m of pipes. Of these, 3% were rejects. 65% of standard pipes were sold, and 75% of defective ones. How many percent of pipes manufactured at the plant are sold?
The number of defective pipes will be:
900000: 100 * 3 = 27000 (m).
Therefore, the number of standard pipes is:
900000 – 27000 = 873000 (m).
According to the condition of the problem, 60% of standard pipes were sold, that is
873000: 100 * 60 = 523800 (m).
And 75% of the defective pipes were sold, that is
27000: 100 * 75 = 20250 (m).
Thus, they sold everything:
523800 + 20250 = 544050 (m) pipes, which of the total number of manufactured pipes will be:
544050: 900000 * 100 = 60.45%.
Answer: 60.45%.
